Patterned Sand
Grain
Patterned sandgrain book-cloth is one of several styles of cloth described as having a sand-textured grain. This pattern involves smaller and more regularly distributed "bumps" in the texture than other sand-textured grains included in the PBO database, bubble grain and pebble grain.
The PBO database includes books bound
in patterned sandgrain book-cloth dating back to c. 1853.
